Medium

Today I realized
While paying for lunch
That I never order MEDIUM anything
And that people who order MEDIUM things are a very specific type of people

For me, it's everything in extremes
Not everything in moderation, everything in extremes
I'm an all or nothing kind of guy
So if I'm going to do something, I do it or I dont do it

The idea of a MEDIUM-sized something is funny
Of course it's such an arbitrary size
What makes THAT the middle of the road
Between something too small or too big?
But it's designed for the person that needs to feel like they are being well-rounded
That they're being sufficient without going overboard
A medium soda
A medium coffee
A medium ice-cream
A medium sized joint
A medium amount of beer
A medium sized slice of cake
A medium sized dog
A medium sized watch or purse

I'm not someone who believes in medium anything
I either do it or I dont
Medium is a social construction
